As CNS Products & Engineering Core SaaS Program Manager, you will manage Release onboarding, deployment and operations of Telecom Core applications in SaaS-based offering. This requires project-managing Core SaaS SREs and collaborating across various teams (Customer, Engineering, Portfolio, Products, Services) for Core SaaS deployments over public cloud (Cloud Infra, SDM, Signaling, Policy, IMS, Packet Core). This fast-paced role requires excellent customer handling & project management capabilities, strategic oversight and hands-on execution, directly impacting Nokia's success in delivering core solutions. As part of the team, you will:
- Manage Core SaaS programs over Nokia & 3rd party cloud platforms along with Core SaaS SRE
- Support the introduction and operation of new products and cross-product solutions in response to business opportunities
- Implement modern engineering practices, including an agile, SaaS-first mindset and a strong focus on automation
- Lead the technical functions: Analysis & Design, Onboarding, Integration, Verification & Validation, Infrastructure, Handover and Operations
- Interface with platform engineering teams to leverage common components, services and technologies
- Work with Release Management to adopt processes and practices needed for the successful and timely delivery in multiple footprint variants
- Coordinate answers to unresolved technical issues and set up technical support processes, involving necessary engineering teams when required
- Lead the customer technical negotiations during the implementation period and drive the technical project execution in collaboration with Services team
- Manage communication, executive reviews and project governance meetings for both customer and internal stakeholders
- Manage 3rd party supplier engagements for products & resources
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Monitor and control project progress, risks, and issues.
- Stakeholder Management
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Allocate resources efficiently and track expenditures.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
You have:
- Deep understanding of Nokia Core networks portfolio (3G/4G/5G, Cloud)
- 20+ years of overall telecom experience, with 10+ years in managing projects across Core domain / E2E technology areas
- Good understanding of cloud technologies, including some experience with at least one hyperscaler
- Proficiency in E2E design, deploy and operate methodologies
- Good understanding of presales aspects like scoping, estimation and risk management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
- Experience in working across multiple geographies and time zones
- Experience working within a globally distributed and diverse engineering organization
- Strong presentation skills, and capability to influence team and customer
**It would be nice if you also had:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in Nokia project management tools and methodologies
