We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our Engineering Support Team at our Bangalore location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows and Linux-based systems, networks, and database applications. This is a hands-on role that demands a strong technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams across different time zones.

  • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Installation of Hardware, OS and configuring networking.
  • Manage and maintain uptime of key Engineering Applications like PDM and Design Tools.
  • SQL Server database administration and performing backups & recovery. Hosting Web services based on NGINX/IIS/Apache.
  • Troubleshooting Network/VPN/SDP connectivity / monitoring.
  • Ensure Security and integrity of all systems by performing regular patching / updating etc.
  • Work with Security Teams to rollout security policies and procedures. Working with Engineering Teams on Troubleshooting any systems/application/network related issues.
  • Collaborate with local IT Teams for any network related issues. Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, with a strong focus on Windows and Linux. 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019) and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Experience with SQL Server database administration (2016, 2017, 2019)
  • Familiarity with Product Data Management applications like Agile/Aras Innovator is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience with network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Redhat, Hyper-V

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell is an advantage.
