Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 annual salary (US Dollars)

Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift custodial operations across a multi-building campus in Hartford, CT. This role oversees 20–30 unionized janitorial staff members and is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of janitorial staff across 80 campus buildings.
• Assign tasks and manage shift coverage to ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with cleaning standards and safety protocols.
• Train and onboard new staff, reinforcing best practices and performance expectations.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and consumables and manage equipment refurbishments and supply orders.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Supervise and coordinate event setups and response to urgent cleaning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, inspections, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising janitorial teams, preferably in unionized settings.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
