Assistant ‐ Administration

(Based at Balangoda)

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to monitor the time management systems of the worker/ staff levels, keeping an accurate record of attendance/ personal data thereby, providing the correct data in a timely manner to ensure an effective payroll process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate general administrative activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Handle procurement and timely distribution of pantry, stationary, and cleaning items.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, events, and internal programs.
  • Support the documentation process (invoices, payment requests, IOU settlements, GRNs, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal departments and vendors for service arrangements (e.g., cleaning, security, maintenance).
  • Maintain accurate records of administrative expenses and ensure timely processing.
  • Manage visitor handling and front office duties as required.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and functionality of common areas, including pantry and meeting rooms.
  • Assist in preparation of reports and presentations related to administration.
  • Perform other administrative duties assigned by the reporting manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • A diploma or certificate in Administration/HR/Business Management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 1-2 years in a similar administrative role (preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment).
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Good communication skills in English and Sinhala
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Time management and multitasking ability
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and team player
