Application Packaging Job Description L3 PositionWe seek an Application Packaging Expert with at least 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of software packaging technologies, tools, and best practices to ensure seamless software distribution, installation, and maintenance. The key responsibilities include Develop, test, and deploy software packages (MSI, EXE, APP-V) according to organizational standards and best practices. Manage application packaging environments and ensure all packages adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards. Deploy software packages to user environments using deployment tools like SCCM and Intune. Monitor deployment progress and resolve issues related to software distribution and client health. Conduct thorough testing of Software Packages and troubleshoot packaging and deployment issues by working closely with end-users/support teams to resolve problems. Have a good understanding of security principles related to software packaging and deployment. Work closely with software vendors, developers, and IT support teams to gather application requirements and ensure successful deployment. Act as an escalation point of contact for L3 support. The candidate must be willing to work from the office on shifts to accommodate different time zones and customer needs. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding the status of packaging projects and deployment activities. The candidate must be proficient in packaging and deployment tools like Flexera Admin Studio, Install Shield, Wise Package Studio, Orca, App-V, SCCM, and Intune. The candidate must be proficient in scripting tools like Windows PowerShell, VB, and Wise Script. The candidate must be proficient with operating systems like Windows 11 and Windows 2016 to 2022 Servers. (1.) To validate analyses (eg. Root Cause Analysis ,Trend Analysis) and reports to facilitate performance in tasks to be presented to key business stakeholders (2.) To ensure positive customer feedback and satisfaction thorugh active participation in customer meetings to understand any issues faced (3.) To validate Change Order Implementation Plan and Human Error Compliance and participate in Capacity planning (4.) To perform value addition activities (such as mentoring administratorsorteam members, preparing SOPs, maintaining effective documentation simultaneously and Knowledge sharing.) In addition act as a liaison to the business segment, facilitating effective communication and presentation to key business stakeholders as and when required. (5.) To ensure on-time resolution and quality compliance of escalated ticketsorincident as per the agreed SLA
