ROLE SUMMARY: Manage, lead, and guide team members involved in launch deliverable activities. Serve as the main interface between the launch program and manufacturing teams. Develop a comprehensive training and certification plan with the LPWR Leader to ensure all direct and indirect employees are trained and certified on their respective job elements.
POSITION DETAILS (Responsibilities / Accountabilities, Communication and working relationships)
- Serve as the main interface between the launch team and maintenance supervisors.
- Provide direction, leadership, and prioritize the activities of the launch.
- Develop and manage a Plant Launch Timing Plan, including GPDS milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate all lessons learned from the Lead Plant, including AIM.
- Provide labor input for upcoming studies in collaboration with LPWR.
- Provide F&T requirements to VME for upcoming studies to support Training facilities.
- Support the LPWR Leader in reviewing new equipment documentation and technical training materials.
- Develop a comprehensive training and certification plan with the LPWR Leader for all direct and indirect employees.
- Identify and classify all base, difficult, and critical jobs with LPWR.
- Develop a recruitment plan with LPWR for incremental production and plant launch staffing.
- Maintain training and versatility charts for all maintenance employees.
- Identify and address high-hurt issues early in the process.
- Validate product/process compatibility, log all issues discovered, communicate findings to the launch team, and manage their resolution.
- Develop and execute the build plan in collaboration with NMP.
- Coordinate and track PSO and EQI activities.
- Coordinate and track OSM (VOW) tasks.
- Support PPAP processes and ensure manufacturing assessments are completed.
- Support control plan validation activities.
- Coordinate high-hurt issues following established processes.
- Lead the Whiteboard execution sessions.
- Review recommended process changes with staff engineers.
- Work with the launch team to ensure all representative tooling is in place and ready for pre-production builds.
- Assist production personnel during pre-production builds.
- Identify, track, and resolve tooling, process, and design concerns encountered during builds.
- Develop repair standards collaboratively with Staff Engineers, the Area Production Coordinator, and Product Specialists.
- Oversee the development of the Cycle Line Layout (CLL) drawings.
- Assist/support the Tooling & Facilities Engineer in coordinating plant participation in tooling vendor design reviews and equipment buyoffs.
- Deliver strategies for Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) and First Time Pass (FTPM).
- Lead Tooling & Equipment Specialists to establish maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements, incorporating input from the Area Maintenance Department.
- Validate work element allocations within the Allocation Planning Tool (APT) and assess workstation capability.

- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Holds MODAPTS Certification.
- GSPAS knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial/mechanical, electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of +3 years production environmental experience
- 2 years industry experience and / or strong exposure to large-scale manufacturing environments/ workforces & Launch
- 3 Years Management/Leadership experience
