Position Title: Registration Specialist
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Department: Cardiology – West Hospital
Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative plays a key role in ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate data collection. Responsibilities include:
Greeting and directing patients and visitors professionally.
Scheduling appointments and collecting necessary medical and financial information.
Explaining hospital policies and charges clearly.
Validating and entering charges into appropriate systems.
Collecting payments and verifying insurance details.
Answering incoming calls and routing them appropriately.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Experience in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology.
