Position Title: Registration Specialist
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Department: Cardiology – West Hospital

Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative plays a key role in ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate data collection. Responsibilities include:

• Greeting and directing patients and visitors professionally.

• Scheduling appointments and collecting necessary medical and financial information.

• Explaining hospital policies and charges clearly.

• Validating and entering charges into appropriate systems.

• Collecting payments and verifying insurance details.

• Answering incoming calls and routing them appropriately.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in a healthcare setting.

• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.

• Understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology.
