Materials Manager

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• SI&OP forecast management and review
• Development of materials and resource plan
• Master scheduling, production planning, materials planning/buying and Inventory planning
• This role will also be the conduit for big project ensuring early material and resource planning
• On the strategy side this function will work with Procurement and Logistics to set material plans (a plan for each item) driven by the market need of Finish Good and Commodity strategy.
• In regard to the role extension to Project Management, it is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of a portfolio of projects, over cross functional groups, directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives. 
• Contribute to project management activities setting deadlines and coordinating efforts and achievements, participate actively at process mapping and design for the assigned international projects.
• This key position operates in a matrix organizational structure and works closely with Sales Operations and Demand Management, Procurement and Logistics and the specific LOB.

QUALIFICATION:

• BS degree, Engineering or Business Management
• Minimum 4-5 years with increasing responsibilities within Operations and Materials
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (also in English)
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Computer and software applications skills required
• Proactive and high-energy leadership style
