Job Summary
Hanover Bank is looking for a full-time Lending Officer. The Lending Officer is primarily responsible for retaining and developing new and existing 1-4 family loan relationships with the brokerage sector. The individual is directly responsible for managing all third-party loan referrals. This individual will function as a liaison between the mortgage broker and operations staff, ensuring excellent levels of customer service, a seamless process, and acceptable response times. Provide quality feedback on the loan process, concerns, product needs, and general feedback from our broker base.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruiting and retaining mutually beneficial broker and banker relationships.
- Responsible for maintaining excellent response times and customer service levels with our network of broker contacts.
- Possess a strong knowledge of all loan products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements.
- Monitor customer loyalty and disloyalty performance levels to include ensuring timely and proactive communication; regular broker contact and site visits to explain current and new loan products; calls to brokers; and provide remediation process support as needed.
- Understand the residential loan process for processing, underwriting, closing, and funding of all 1 to 4 family residential loans.
- Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility and credibility for Hanover in the marketplace.
- Actively communicate new products and promote existing products with brokerage base.
- Create special marketing campaigns promoting our product menu in conjunction with the Director of Sales.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Wholesale lending, 3 years (Required)
- Knowledge and understanding of all State and Federal regulations applicable to residential mortgage lending, including but not limited to Regulation B (ECOA), C (HMDA), G (S.A.F.E)Act, X (RESPA), and Z
- This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators and requires successful National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act

Salary: $64,350.00 plus commissions
