We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will bring 9–14 years of robust accounting experience, demonstrating strong expertise in financial reporting, compliance, team management, and strategic financial planning. As the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, streamlining financial processes, and supporting internal and external audits.
This is a critical role that requires a hands-on approach, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and reporting frameworks.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the preparation of financial statements, including profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS/GAAP), statutory laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of financial reports.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring optimal workflow management, accuracy in bookkeeping, and career development.
- Drive automation and digital transformation of accounting systems to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Manage payables, receivables, banking, reconciliations, and fixed assets in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee GST, TDS, income tax filings, and liaise with external consultants and auditors for statutory compliance and financial audits.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing valuable financial insights to support business decisions and cost control.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement internal controls, mitigate risks, and maintain financial discipline.
- Lead and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring prompt responses to audit queries and recommendations.
- Ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting to the management on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Support the CFO/Head of Finance in strategic initiatives and reporting to the board/investors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 9–14 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in mid to large-scale organizations.
- Strong command over Indian accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial processes, compliance, budgeting, and audit management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in leading high-performing accounting teams.
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting or global operations is a plus.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments, such as startups or scaling businesses.
- Prior experience with process automation or digital finance tools.
