Main Accountabilities

As the Chief Data Officer, your impact will be seen through the following accountabilities:

  • Strategic Data Leadership: Develop and implement strategic data initiatives that support business transformation and technological innovation. Ensure that the firm’s data strategy aligns with industry standards and best practices and enables the firm to harness emerging technologies
  • Risk Management: Evolve and deliver against the firms plans to remediate data risk across the firm
  • Global Collaboration: Engage with senior executives and global peers to integrate data solutions, influencing larger data governance trends
  • Resource and Budget Management: Oversee resource allocation and budgetary decisions for data-related projects, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals
  • Business Transformation: Enhance business efficiency and competitive advantage through innovative data utilisation
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and governance frameworks, safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality

Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

As the Chief Data Officer, you will have the following knowledge and skills:

  • Extensive (+20 years) experience in data governance, data management, or a related field at a strategic leadership level
  • Proficient people management skills, leading large, diverse teams across multiple locations
  • Experience in driving firm-wide data initiatives and strategic projects with significant impact
  • Robust understanding of global data protection regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of engagement across different cultures and business units
  • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex business challenges
