Summary:

Manufacture specialty cutting tools for the aerospace/power generation industries using state of the art CNC grinding and inspection equipment. This position is for night shift (Sunday night through Friday morning, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM), but you will be trained on days.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Windows based five axis tool and cutter grind machine (ANCA). 
• Manufacturing of cutting tools 
• Use ERP system to log in and out of jobs for setup and run time.
• Use inspection equipment to measure all features of cutting tools.
• Laser Marking to etch tool information on each tool.
• Communicate with team lead and/or management on needs within the department.

Key Roles:

• Manufacture cutting tools to support production.
• Adjust program and grinding process to maximize quality and efficiency and perform complex setups with minimal direction and supervision.
• Work to high standards and contribute to continuous improvement; communicate issues to team leader in a timely manner; effectively leaves notes for next shift.
• Assist in maintaining grinding department equipment and preventive maintenance.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years tool grinding experience recommended.
• ANCA experience a plus.
• Strong computer background.
• Experience with Microsoft Office a plus.
• Blue print reading and understanding of GD&T is preferred, training can be provided.
• Understanding of cutting tool geometry a plus.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external personnel in both written and oral form.
