Description
Position Summary: The Production Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of production workers on the factory floor. This position acts as the bridge between management and the production team, ensuring that production goals are met while upholding quality standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, possess strong leadership skills, and demonstrate a keen understanding of production processes and workflow optimization.
Reporting Relationships: This position reports directly to the Operations Manager of the American Reels business line. This position has 5+ direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
· Direct and oversee the work of production staff. Train, guide, and motivate team members to ensure efficient and high-quality production output.
· Assist in planning and organizing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
· Monitor production processes and implement quality control checks to uphold standards.
· Enforce safety guidelines and procedures on the production floor. Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
· Address and resolve production issues and bottlenecks.
· Act as a liaison between the production staff and upper management, communicating feedback, concerns, and suggestions from the production team to the management.
· Maintain accurate records of production performance, attendance, and any incidents. Prepare reports as required.
· Promote a positive team environment and lead by example

Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in production, manufacturing
· Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Knowledge of production procedures, scheduling, and quality standards.
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
· Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing production demands.
