Quality Assurance Analyst – Constellation Financial Software

Position Summary
Under general direction, carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper orientation and freedom from defects. Documents all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures. Performs work-flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Provides functional guidance to less experienced personnel. Typically have five or more years of systems testing experience, and ideally have a technical background (familiar with scripting languages, SQL, and capable of code deployments).

Project Coordination: Carrying out established procedures to ensure all programs and projects meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
Testing: Thoroughly testing applications to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Using customer driven use cases, write and execute test plans that verify our solutions meet and exceed the high demands of our growing customer community. Performing work-flow analysis and recommending quality improvements.
Analysis: Performing work-flow analysis and recommending quality improvements. Attends necessary design review sessions as an SME leader and provides feedback.
Documentation: Documenting all problems and working with developers and analysts to resolve them.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Adheres to safety, security and all other company policies and procedures.
Teamwork and Support: Leads and Supports team as a coach by modeling behavior that encourages regular attendance, contribution of ideas & feedback, assisting in enhancing operations and customer service. Models team oriented behaviors by answering questions and
assisting team members and other departments with inquiries and other related matters. Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Professional Development: Maintains up to date knowledge of the CFS products and services. Attends appropriate development courses on an ongoing basis. Maintains professional contacts with other companies, vendors and other industry contacts. Keeps abreast of claims, insurance and legislative changes and best practices.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, and at least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Experience with Test Automation and/or DevOps would be a definite asset.
5+ years experience as a QA analyst testing web and Windows applications
Working knowledge of one or more automated testing tools
Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills
Working knowledge of SQL server, and TFS source control
Working knowledge of .Net platform, and web technologies
Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
Knowledge/experience in retail lending and insurance domains
