Description

As a Sales Director at R3, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategies that drive our business forward. Building on your experience in the IT industry, particularly with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), you will leverage your deep understanding of our services and solutions to cultivate high-impact relationships with potential clients. You will also develop strategic partnerships with complementary businesses in our network to create mutual growth opportunities. Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing R3's market presence and sustaining growth in a competitive IT landscape.  

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients through networking, cold calling, referrals, and web-based research. 
  • Solution Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' pain points and objectives, and present customized solutions that address their specific requirements. 
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings. 
  • Negotiation and Closing: Overcome objections, lead negotiations, and close sales, ensuring favorable terms that align with company goals. 
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify potential opportunities and threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, client services, and delivery excellence to align efforts and ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement and service delivery. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts, providing regular reports to management via HubSpot CRM. 
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with complementary businesses such as telecom providers, software vendors, hardware manufacturers, security consultants, and business consulting firms to create mutual referral opportunities and comprehensive solutions for clients. 
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing industry and sales training to continuously enhance personal knowledge, skills, and effectiveness. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, finance, or related field is preferred but not required 
  • Successful completion of a nationally recognized, sales-oriented certification or training program 
  • 10+ years' experience in commercial sales, preferably within the IT services industry 
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing client relationships and exceeding sales targets 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a strong professional network within the IT services industry 
  • Proven ability to influence collaboration and teamwork across sales, service delivery, and technology advancement teams 
  • Understanding of the IT services industry, including managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and other relevant technologies 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce 
  • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly valuable 
  • Expertise in sales strategies, lead generation, and closing deals with a strong focus on building long-term relationships 
  • Experience handing off deals to client engagement teams in a seamless manner, ensuring a positive client experience throughout the process 
  • Strong networking abilities to build strategic partnerships and leverage connections to drive business development efforts 
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously 
  • Collaborative and coachable mindset - excited about continuously improving skills and impact 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to shared goals and supporting team members 
  • Solid technical aptitude and business acumen 
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently 
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, evolving industry and company environment

The salary range for this position is $100,000 -$150,000/year plus commission 


The base salary range for this position is an estimate and may vary depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, experience, certifications, and skillset, as well as internal equity and business considerations. This range reflects base pay only and does not include bonuses, incentives, benefits, or other forms of compensation that may be offered as part of the total compensation package.
