Description

Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit an Admissions Manager to join the team. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.
 
Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment.
We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders.
For young people, we have a dedicated young people's mental health inpatient service across two specialist wards - Richmond Court and Kingston Court - where we provide expert care in a supportive environment. We also offer private autism assessments for children.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
  • Manages the processes and staff relating to all patient paperwork and administration, as well as ensuring that all necessary funding is in place for the duration of the individual’s care. 
  • Liaise with site PEM for future admissions. 
  • Attend daily flash meetings to ensure bed management kept up to date and communicated. 
  • Manages and develops a small team of Admissions Officers, through recruitment, selection, development and performance management processes.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

The ideal candidate will possess a good standard of general education, including GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English. They should be competent in using software such as Microsoft Office and demonstrate a high standard of written and verbal communication skills. Responsiveness to time-critical situations, strong time management, and the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively are essential. Experience in an Admissions, Bed Management, or similar clinical administrative role is required, with healthcare experience being desirable. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven ability to manage their own workload in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
