We are currently seeking a Engineering Co-Op to join our New Albany, IN office.

What You’ll Do:

Co-Ops at PRIME provide college students with an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific field of study. Co-Ops work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting, providing invaluable experience applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design various types of systems utilized within the respective markets listed below.
Perform analyses and apply problem solving techniques to develop creative, innovative solutions.
Perform a variety of complicated tasks and critical thinking.
Take part in reviewing, understanding, and applying local, state and federal codes and standards related to the design and construction of project facilities.
Learn and apply market specific guidelines, the practices and policies of the associated local discipline, divisions, and firm.
Assist field staff, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers to ensure compliance with specifications and design during construction.

Project Types Include:

Site layout and grading for public and private development
Stormwater management and drainage design
Roadway and intersection design
Sidewalk and pedestrian access improvements
Utility coordination and relocation
Municipal infrastructure (including some water and wastewater systems)

Water Supply and Treatment
Water Distribution
Booster Pumping Stations
Water Storage facilities
Water System Modeling
Wastewater Treatment and Disposal
Wastewater Collection and Pumping
Pipeline Rehabilitation and Replacement
Stormwater System Engineering
Wastewater System Modeling

What You’ll Bring:

Students pursuing a BS degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
Willingness to learn about water infrastructure type projects as mentioned above for local, state and federal clients involving municipal and industrial markets.
Exposure to systems and software to include AutoCAD, ArcGIS, KyPIPE, SWMM, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, EPANET, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
