Job Description
Join a team that nurtures spiritual health, personal wellbeing, and inclusion, across the diverse Griffith University community. This position sits within the Student Life portfolio and reports to the Chaplaincy Coordinator.
As Chaplain, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the faith life, mental health and wellbeing of students and staff through:
- Providing confidential and professional pastoral care.
- Supporting faith-based and spiritual activities across campus.
- Promoting wellness, inclusion, and cultural recognition.
- Collaborating with internal and external faith-based organisations.
- Contributing to data collection and reporting on Chaplaincy services.
About You
You’re someone who brings compassion, professionalism, and a deep understanding of diverse world views. You’ll have:
- A proven record of delivering faith-based services
- Qualifications in faith, human services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- A current Blue Card (Queensland working with children check) or willing to obtain one
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and wellbeing
- Ability to work collaboratively and build meaningful relationships
What we can offer
This is a Continuing, part- time position (50%) and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. There is an option to work from home .5 days per week. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may occasionally be required to work across other campus locations.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW 6 range $91,843- $97,964 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $107,456 - $114,618 per annum. This role is pro rata.
