The Role

At Crown Perth, we pride ourselves on creating exceptional experiences. From luxurious stays to unforgettable events, our world-class destination is supported by a team of experts behind the scenes—and now we’re looking for a passionate leader to join that team. 

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Engineer – Hotels to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations across Crown Towers, Metropol and Promenade Hotels, as well as grounds and landscaping for the entire property. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Direct engineering and maintenance for Crown Perth’s hotel properties and outdoor environments 
  • Ensure cost-efficient delivery of works while upholding exceptional service standards 
  • Oversee plant and equipment, building presentation, and emergency management procedures 
  • Lead and mentor Hotel Engineering Managers and their teams 
  • Coordinate work delegation and performance monitoring through subordinate supervisors 
  • Cultivate a motivated, skilled, and safety-conscious workforce 
  • Develop and implement tailored preventative and reactive maintenance schedules 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align priorities 
  • Ensure full compliance with building regulations, licences, and health & safety standards 

About You

You’ll bring the following:

  • Minimum 7–10 years technical experience in a complex building services environment 
  • At least 4 years in people management, including oversight of indirect reports 
  • Proven ability in strategy development, business planning, and budget management 
  • Outstanding communication, customer service, leadership, and organisational capabilities 

Additional Information

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in building or a related discipline 
  • Certificate IV in relevant trade skills and current trade licences
