Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Revenue Analyst who will be a part of the worldwide revenue team. We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual that has the ability to work independently and as a team player. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, the Sr. Revenue Analyst in this position will work daily on requests that come into the team related to revenue current transactions for hardware, software and services under SOX testing, under financial audits, or other business enquiries, as well as analyzing and review monthly revenue financial closed transactions, support month end and quarter end close, prepare reporting, and work directly with our external auditors. This role will leverage our SAP and RevPro system. This role will be responsible for understanding and establishing operating processes as well as applying technical revenue recognition concepts operationally in compliance with US GAAP specifically ASC 606 and IFRS 15.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare accounting analysis for all aspects of revenue cycle, which may include accounts receivable or deferred revenue transactions, revenue accounting under ASC 606 and IFRS 15. Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in revenue and related areas in accordance with our month end/ quarter end/ year end close schedule
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for revenue related receivables and contract liabilities accounts, including relevant analysis of variances and operational / business drivers
  • Assist in tracking subsequent sales return, credit memo, and compile data required in the quarterly analysis of sales return reserve
  • Function as a key part owner of internal controls process analysis preparer relating to the revenue accounting area in various SOX procedures including but not limited to revenue cut off testing, and others.
  • Prepare and provide audit schedules and necessary reporting and analysis at quarter and year-end to external auditors or internal SEC reporting scheudles as requested for audit, 10Q/10K preparation and 404 SOX compliance
  • Involved in reading customer contracts, memorandum of understanding/agreement (MOU/MOA) and summarize and track key revenue recognition terms and conditions and update CMS, Contract Matric as applicable
  • Participate in ad hoc projects/tasks as requested by Revenue team or others in the Finance organization
  • Maintain and update proper policy and SOP procedures documentation and any applicable reviewer checklist and IPE requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably with a public company
  • Strong knowledge of Revenue Recognition Accounting Principles ASC 606 and 605
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of financial data
  • Fluent and good English verbal and written communication skills
  • Have demonstrated presentation skills and ability to easily present financial data in a clear and concise manner 
  • Attention to details is critical to this role
  • Good team player
  • Big 4 and industry blended experience and CPA/ACCA is a strong plus
  • SAP and RevPro experience is a plus
