In this role:
As part of the People, Communication & Workplaces enabling division, you will report to the Executive Director People Operations and be an integral part of our newly established Branch Leadership Team. In this critical role you will lead and ensure we build and manage learning and development needs across Transport, delivering effective programs, maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement.
You and your team will:
- Oversee the implementation and delivery of learning programs for the divisions of Transport, ensuring divisional needs are met.
- Program manage competency based learning, including developing, designing, delivering or procuring learning as and when required.
- Establish frameworks and governance to ensure accurate management and reporting of learning records within TfNSW for consistent records management.
- Evaluate individual learning program effectiveness and report outcomes to drive continuous improvement within the divisions of TfNSW.
- Lead and manage Transport’s RTO operations, ensuring high quality training is delivered across the organisation.
- Advise on learning design and evaluation and provide quality information about learning program options and availability.

About you
You are a people leader with a deep understanding and knowledge of learning programs. You:
- Are a strategic thinker and outcomes focused. You understand what strategic value looks like in learning programs.
- Bring deep experience, insight and knowledge of L&D leadership and can build and drive a strategic agenda.
- Bring demonstrated experience dealing with executive stakeholders and the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
- Bring a deep understanding of compliance standards for RTOs, along with other regulatory frameworks.
- Bring proven experience leading and delivering programs which support a thriving workforce culture.
- Extensive experience leading highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams, growing team maturity and capability and maximising their performance to deliver complex program management.
- Possess strong business and commercial acumen and exceptional skills understanding the value of learning programs.
