Position: QA SW EngineerExperience Level: 2 to 6 yearsSkills: QA/Automation, Go, Python, L2/L3 Protocol Testing, NetworkingLocation: Bangalore-Hybrid

Roles and Responsibilities:  The SQA Engineer would be an individual contributor partnering with other Engineering teams, Services and Field Engineers to help build and validate the Products and Solutions for high end customer deployments. The role would require participation from design, development to deployment and beyond. The Engineers would write test strategy, test plans and develop tools and scripts to cover the various functional, performance and scalability aspects of Platform and Software solution validation
 · Work closely with development engineering, product management to understand the requirements & Develop test strategy, test topology and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security considerations.

· Participate in Functional Specification & Design code review.· Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate customer profiles· Execute test cases and validate the solution end-to-end and document the test results on performance, scale and security · Collaborate with development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites· Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixes· Review customer deployments and customer found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage· Involve in customer deployments and customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Extreme Networks’ solutions in the customer environment  Qualifications and Requirements: · BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Techwith  2 to 6 years of networking industry experience.· Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites using Python/Go language.· Experience in performance, scale and convergence testing and analyzing performance related issues and improving the performance and convergence at system level· Ability to develop and publish solution validation document and test reports· Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.· Highly motivated and self-driven. Able to collaborate cross functionally to meet challenging goals.    Skillset Required:  · Strong understanding of Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) standards, link negotiation, MAC/PHY behavior, jumbo frames, and FEC. · Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and multicast. · Knowledge of optical networking components (e.g., SFP/QSFP, DWDM, OTN). · Proficient in Linux and network automation scripting (Go,Python, Bash, etc.). · Familiar with network traffic generation and test tools (IXIA, Spirent, iPerf). · Experience in version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker). · Strong analytical and debugging skills, especially for network packet flows.  Extreme Networks, Inc.
