The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable and analytical Chief of Staff to support the leadership of a growing operating company based in Dallas, Texas. In this strategic role, you will serve as a thought partner to the CEO/General Manager, helping to drive financial discipline, operational effectiveness, and cross-functional alignment across the business.
This position is ideal for someone with strong business acumen, financial fluency, and a sharp eye for operational improvement. As Chief of Staff, you will lead internal planning processes, manage key performance initiatives, and help the leadership team stay focused, informed, and aligned. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a spreadsheet or a strategy session and thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategic Analysis

Lead annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, partnering closely with the CEO and finance team.

Analyze business performance, track key financial and operational metrics, and generate insights that inform strategic decisions.

Build and maintain internal dashboards, financial models, and board-ready reporting packages.

Evaluate potential growth investments and resource allocation decisions based on ROI and business impact.

Support pricing strategies, margin analysis, and scenario planning to ensure sustainable growth.
CEO & Leadership Support

Act as a trusted right hand to the CEO—managing priorities, preparing materials for board and investor updates, and ensuring the leadership team is aligned and focused.

Run leadership team meetings, track follow-ups, and keep the organization accountable to its goals.

Facilitate communication and coordination across departments, surfacing blockers and driving resolutions.
Operational Excellence & Business Rhythm

Identify operational inefficiencies and help implement scalable systems, processes, and routines.

Lead or support special projects that drive business improvement—whether implementing new tools, standing up new workflows, or driving M&A integration.

Work across functions to harmonize planning, hiring, reporting, and communication cadences.
Data-Driven Decision Making

Champion a data-first culture by ensuring leaders have the right metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to support performance.

Proactively dig into performance trends, operational bottlenecks, or cost centers to identify opportunities for improvement.

Develop frameworks and tools to help teams evaluate priorities and allocate resources effectively.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) required, ideally in finance, economics, business, or a related field.

1-4 years of experience in finance, operations, consulting, or strategy—ideally in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or SMB environment.

Strong grasp of core financial concepts (P&L, cash flow, unit economics, forecasting, etc.).

Exceptional analytical skills and comfort working with data to derive insights and drive decisions.

Proven ability to lead projects, manage cross-functional workstreams, and influence without authority.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized, execution-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities with precision.

No MBA required; experience and ownership mindset valued above credentials.
