Job Description
We’re looking for a highly experienced MLOps Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Snowflake to support a strategic migration initiative for one of our enterprise clients. The client currently runs ML models on legacy platforms and is transitioning to a Snowflake-based infrastructure.
This role involves assessing existing ML models, migrating data workflows to Snowflake, and building robust pipelines for training and deployment. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge, hands-on pipeline development skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with both Blend and client teams.You will:
- Evaluate existing machine learning models built on legacy platforms.
- Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake.
- Develop, train, and deploy ML pipelines using Python within Snowflake.
- Collaborate closely with client teams and internal stakeholders to align on goals and technical requirements.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of deployed pipelines.
- Contribute to best practices and documentation throughout the migration process.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering and/or MLOps.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for data pipelines and ML workflows.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and integration.
- Proven experience migrating data workflows or ML models from legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
- Solid understanding of the MLOps lifecycle: model development, training, deployment, monitoring.
- Experience working in client-facing roles or collaborative cross-functional environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using R for model development or statistical analysis (big plus).
- Familiarity with Streamlit for building lightweight data apps (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Snowpark, dbt, or modern data tooling.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code practices.

You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team.
How much experience must I have?
In order to thrive in this role, you must have at least 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or related field.
