Application Engineering Lead

What you'll do

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud-native, distributed microservice architectures.

• Deliver solutions for complex business problems following SDLC best practices.

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills, simplifying complex problems and diving deep when necessary.

• Build and manage strong technical teams that deliver scalable software solutions.

• Manage cross-functional teams including software, quality, and reliability engineers, project managers, and scrum masters.

• Provide deep troubleshooting skills and lead under pressure to solve production issues.

• Leverage strong experience in full-stack software development and public clouds (GCP, AWS).

• Mentor, coach, and develop junior and senior engineers.

• Lead with a data/metrics-driven mindset to optimize solutions.

• Ensure compliance with secure software development guidelines and meet KPIs.

• Define, maintain, and report SLA, SLO, SLIs.

• Collaborate on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices.

• Drive up-to-date technical documentation.

• Actively participate in Sprint planning and retrospectives.

• Make implementation architecture decisions for product features, refactoring, and EOSL.

• Create and deliver clear and concise technical presentations to various stakeholders.

What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of Software Engineering experience.

• 7+ years experience with Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS 

• 7+ years of cloud technology (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions.

• 7+ years experience designing and developing microservices using Java, SpringBoot, AWS SDKs, EKS/GKE/Kubernetes.

• 7+ years experience deploying software using Jenkins CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Helm Charts, Terraform).
