Job Summary
Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and proven successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) Role supporting the SPY-6 Program to be located onsite at either Tewksbury or Andover, Massachusetts or Tucson, Arizona.
In this role you will leverage Supply Chain, technical knowledge, and process capability expertise to improve SPY-6 supplier performance and support. This MPM will provide support on all critical areas associated with the SPY-6 supply base content. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and the broader Supply Chain organization to drive Raytheon requirements for manufacturing and quality capabilities of the supplier(s), and improvement of supplier hardware for schedule and affordability.
You will be accountable to ensure the SPY-6 supply base is supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of Supplier Engagement Strategy activities including ensuring appropriate budget, resource, schedule, and execution. You will manage the supplier(s) backlog and ensure requirements are prioritized appropriately and made visible. You will be responsible for the collection and analysis of performance metrics, and development of Estimate at Completion (EAC).
There is NO relocation assistance for this role.
What You Will Do:
- Communicate and translate Program requirements to critical suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
- Lead team, supplier/program engineering and redesign efforts.
- Ensure supplier is supporting MRP, the MPP, and the MPS.
- Develop and execute Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program responsibilities & proactively manage mitigation plans.
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively address program and functional issues.
- Act as key supplier and customer interface, including building Program and supplier relationships and leading weekly and quarterly engagements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s performance.
- Facilitate necessary product and process changes through collaboration with suppliers and Engineering/Quality. Facilitate resolution of product non-conformances.
- Actively participate in program/engineering reviews and change boards.
- Commitment to obtain MPM certification after experience in the role.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and/or PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)
- International procurement / supplier management experience
- Execution experience of multiple program and contract types (i.e EMD, LRIP, FRP, Cost and Fixed Price)
- CORE or similar Six Sigma Specialist
- Experience leading in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
