Program Analyst
GDIT is seeking a Program Analyst to serve as key liaison to other program departments that have specific business function and business analytics.
- Collaborate with program departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
- Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
- Assist with periodic forecast and budget creation for business leadership
- Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the programs performance against budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
- Identifies cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
- Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
- Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
- Understand the relationships, dependencies and impact of neighboring business functions.
- Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms.
- Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.
- Evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.
- Collaborate with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests.
Skills:
- 2+ years of experience Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and find solutions to solving them independently in a timely manner.
- Exhibit good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other applications.
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and effectively handle multiple competing priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Great knowledge of IT processes and willingness to constantly update knowledge.
- Inbuilt ability to multi-task, working on more than one issue simultaneously.
- Able to carry out tasks with little or no supervision.
- Must be able to work independently on tasks which require analysis and action.
- Work hours may include meetings schedule outside of normal working hours. Demands during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
