Job Description Summary
Role Summary/Purpose:The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of projects throughout their life cycle. This includes defining, planning, tracking, and managing projects, identifying key resources, and providing the direction needed to meet project objectives. The Project Manager provides leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering project outputs on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct project planning activities and manage project execution according to the plan.
Define appropriate delivery models for customer projects, combining pre-defined services, on-site, and remote delivery.
Identify GE and customer responsibilities and deliverables as outlined in the sales contract.
Coordinate resources from GE and other contract sources.
Create and manage project timelines through collaboration between customer, GE, and contract teams.
Regularly track and communicate project implementation progress, equipment delivery, installation, and testing.
Lead the implementation team during clinical “Go Live” of the equipment, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal use.
Maintain project milestone accuracy, creating visible and predictable data for business metrics and revenue forecasting.
Act as the primary liaison between GE and the customer project teams, managing relationships with stakeholders.
Manage project financials, including budgeting and variance analysis, ensuring all financial aspects are in order.
Proactively identify and address scope changes, risks, and issues, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget.
Ensure proper project governance, methodology, and tool use, balancing time, cost, and scope to achieve business value.
Analyze complex situations and provide viable solutions for successful outcomes.
Document and share lessons learned, contributing to the development of project management best practices.
Desired Characteristics:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare technology or equivalent experience and education.
Strong knowledge of project management processes, including resource allocation, risk management, and financial management.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
Strong business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Experience in healthcare IT and critical care areas is highly desirable.
Ability to travel 75%+ of the time.
