Director of Product Strategy DebitWhat does a Director of Product Strategy for Debit Do at Fiserv?
This position will support the Debit Product Team in managing the product portfolio, assisting in the definition of product strategy, supporting go-to-market activities, and leading annual and ad hoc portfolio planning. The Product Strategy Manager will collaborate across the Product Management Team, Sales and Account Executive Teams, internal Fiserv organizations, Clients, and partners/vendors to ensure alignment and overall success of the product.
What you will do:
- Define the differentiation story for Debit at Fiserv; refine and help socialize with sales teams across the enterprise (Cards and beyond)
- Own the continual Debit Product Roadmap, for communication internally and to our clients
- Partner with our portfolio growth team on ways to grow our clients’ portfolios
- Layout growth strategy with existing team, create business cases, and size of prize for each so team can prioritize
- Help define business strategy, go-to-market strategy, partnership plans, and business plans across new and existing solutions
- Benchmark existing product offerings against competitors and industry trends to identify, assess, and develop opportunities that will lead to growth, strengthen our position in the marketplace, and provide better value for our clients
- Build rapport and relationships with clients and collect feedback to improve Fiserv’s products and market position
- Assess partnership and acquisition candidates for product fit, alignment and growth potential to fill gaps in the experience
- Drive Thought Leadership in Debit and broader Digital Payments landscape – new ideas for features and FinTechs
- Collaborate with multiple marketing and sales organizations across the enterprise to clearly communicate product benefits and competitive differentiation
- Work with product leadership and finance to build the product business case and customer pricing
- Lead through influence across a matrixed organization with disparate geographic team members
- Support product commercialization process for new features / products
What you will need:
- 7+ years Program Management experience leading highly technical software projects across large cross-functional teams
- 7+ years experience in financial services + technology environment
- Ability to synthesize market, industry, business and competitive information to inform product and strategy decisions
- Experience in developing and presenting business cases to secure capital and internal support from a broad range of executives
- Electronic and card payments experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High-level attention to detail and the ability to track and complete multiple workstreams and tasks at any one time
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or related field
What would be great to have:
- MBA or similar graduate degree a plus
- Product management experience in a financial services environment
- Experience working with Financial Institutions and Fintechs
