About the opportunity 

The Senior Software Engineer is accountable for developing several planned enhancements to existing financial models built primarily using MS SQL Server in a Microsoft Windows environment. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of database technologies and the ability to write and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, and SQL queries within MS SQL Server and Google Cloud BigQuery.

Working within an inter-disciplinary team, the Senior Software Engineer or Developer is responsible for providing technical guidance and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the team’s requirements. They should advocate for and implement best practice coding principles, including code reviews, to maintain a high standard in code quality and system performance.

Essential Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ database development experience, at least 2 years with MS SQL Server.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, especially with stakeholders who have limited technical knowledge.
Code collaboration and management.
