Responsibilities:
Manage buyers, ensure staff availability and grow the competence within the designated scope (Commodity/Panels), improve engagement of the team
Be responsible for supplier relationship management:
Lead supplier performance reviews and foster improvement of suppliers' performance (e.g. supplier development)
Manage designated suppliers' contract, accountable for compliance (T&C / Consignment Stock / PT / AWL / LTA / NDA etc.)
Own capacity for his commodity and supports RCCP process, validate corrective action plan and negotiate capacity increases
Support of major operational issues with GBE Manager (according to escalation process)
Responsible for the definition and execution of the strategy panels, and own AOP and STRAP results for his commodity
Ensure execution of AOP & STRAP objectives for his commodity:
Delivers productivity for his commodity (Negotiation, VE, Resourcing…) in alignment with the Global Commodity he belongs to.
Generate & consolidate VAVE – Resourcing ideas, collect ideas from suppliers. Build Business cases when required
Ensure accurate MATEX performance reporting
Animate the extended commodity network (including GBE Buyers) to ensure AOP objectives are met
Define corrective action plans in case of deviation from AOP objectives
Define yearly negotiations objectives, conduct negotiations with suppliers or assign supplier accountabilities to GBE/Commodity Buyer
Validate negotiations results and conclude commercial agreements with suppliers
Optimize cash, payment terms and consignment stock Contractual obligations, secure planning and execution of Capex.
Own commodity strategy
Interface with rest of organizations to adequately develop commodity strategy and serve business needs (GBE, engineering, sales, manufacturing, quality), Partner for Component road Map w/ SME/COEs
Build Supplier Panel for the GBE operational & strategic requirements (project & production) and refresh them on a yearly basis
Contribute to commercial & industrial market expertise of the designated scope including scouting for new suppliers
Manage panel evolution with technology and market changes
Contribute to a strong connection with Engineering teams responsible for the technical roadmaps
Ensure appropriate Source Selection:
Panel setting meeting commodity healthiness requirements
Full integration to Sourcing process (sourcing plans, sourcing committee...) and own the sourcing selection
Secure execution within procurement is in line with the Panel Strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree preferably in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration
- Min 7y experience in Procurement, preferably in Automotive industry
- Min 3y managerial experience
- Experience in a global company
- Proven project management experience
- Analytic thinking and leadership skills
- Agile mindset and resilience
