We’re looking for a Business Development Director to join our New Zealand team.

Reporting to our Managing Director and being a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, as our Business Development Director you’ll head up our sales function and be responsible for catalysing growth across our entire business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior sales professional with a strong engineering or project management background to join a mission to be the leading project delivery company in Aotearoa.

In New Zealand we have 6 offices spread across the country and work for a diverse range of clients focused around the energy, power, chemicals, water, and industrial sectors.  We love solving complex problems and get involved at the first stages of engineering and consulting to the last stages of installation and commissioning

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Business Development Director to join our New Zealand team.

The role responsibilities include:

• Create business strategies to facilitate company growth.
• Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.
• Identify, bid and secure opportunities with our existing, target and new customers.
• Utilise our strong engineering and project delivery teams to sell services to customers.
• Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.
• Location is flexible but with a preference to be located in either Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington or Christchurch.

What you’ll bring

• A strong understanding of the New Zealand engineering & contracting market in the energy, power, chemicals, water, and industrial sectors
• A developed customer network across both islands.
• A tertiary qualification.
• Extensive business development experience in a related field, with project delivery exposure highly desirable.
• Ability to work at C-suite level.
• Proven, successful bid and proposal participation.
• Effective communicator with the ability to persuade and influence others during presentations.
• Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to be considered.
