    Position Summary

The Compliance Tracking Specialist - CLE will be responsible for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) compliance administration and operational support for the firm’s mandatory training framework globally.

The role holder will provide support for processes to ensure that W&C people comply with mandated training and that lawyers complete training requirements to maintain the right to practice in all jurisdictions where there is a business need.

This role will administer CLE accreditation processes for live training events and the firm’s eLearning catalogue.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of CLE compliance regulations in jurisdictions where the firm operates
  • Supports the Manager, HR Compliance Tracking to ensure that programs and materials meet accreditation requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support to lawyers and clients with CLE credit tracking and reporting
  • Assists the Manager, HR Compliance Tracking with the scheduling and prioritization of mandatory courses
  • Ongoing maintenance of mandatory course rosters, the escalation of non-compliance and reporting
  • Liaison with HR Operations Delivery (HROD) team to ensure that the Learning Management System(LMS) accurately reflects program and CLE accreditation details
  • Partner with HROD L&D team on delivery of mandatory training and legal education courses ensuring consistency
  • Provide back-up support for lawyer bar admission tracking
  

Qualifications


  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience with compliance tracking in a global firm
  • Familiarity with CLE rules and mandatory minimum requirements in legal jurisdictions where the firm has a physical presence
  • Previous experience with learning management systems, in particular viLMS CLE
  • Knowledge of compliance/mandatory training protocols
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple large projects
  • Self-starter, able to drive and manage global projects with limited direction
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work quickly and efficiently, prioritizing a varied workload with multiple stakeholders and shifting demands
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, process-driven mindset, resourcefulness and ability to meet responsibilities with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations by understanding stakeholder needs, determining alternatives to meet requirements and communicating appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences, at all levels
  • Accountable team player with a constructive attitude, problem-solving and customer success mindset able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a geographically dispersed team
  • High degree of confidentiality needed
