About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
We have a full-time permanent opportunity for a Digital Product Designer to join ACC’s Digital Product Design team. You’ll be responsible for championing great user experience and user interface across our suite of digital products by discovering, designing, prototyping, and testing for product teams in an agile, iterative, and delivery-focused environment.
You’ll turn concepts, requirements, and research findings into appropriate human-centred design solutions (via journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, user testing, or any other relevant UX methods).
In this role, you will:
- Establish design requirements based on information from internal business teams, customer needs and the Product Design Manager to ensure delivery of design against the right priorities in the right way.
- Design and deliver excellent, human-centric solutions fit for implementation by product teams.
- Present design processes, ideas, and proposed solutions clearly and effectively to relevant team members and stakeholders for discussion and feedback following the Product Design team standards.
- Document user testing processes (objectives, goals, and interview guide) and share outcomes with stakeholders following the Product Design team standards.
- Support the facilitation of necessary workshops with key stakeholders across the business, technology, and customer views.
- Use our digital pattern library for user interface design and help to maintain it through best design practices.
- Build in rigour through shared systems and processes with the Product Design team, enabling a consistent and best-practice approach to our design practice.
About you | Mōu
You must have:
- Previous experience in product or user interface design
- An ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- A proficiency with standard industry design, prototyping and testing tools (particularly Figma and the Adobe Suite of tools).
- Experience working with pattern libraries and working in an iterative and collaborative Agile team would be beneficial.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience designing and facilitating workshop sessions with a range of stakeholders and groups.
- Experience analysing and synthesising quantitative and qualitative research data, drawing insights from those findings and reporting back to key stakeholders.
- An understanding of human-centred design methods.
