Senior Health and Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Identify potential hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Advise producers and production teams on all health and safety-related issues.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across all production areas.
• Develop strong working relationships with production teams to influence behavior and encourage adherence to safety best practices.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety procedures and policies.

 

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the same field (creative industries, events, or construction).
• Recognized Health and Safety certifications such as:

NEBOSH International General Certificate (preferred)

OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction)

IOSH Managing Safely

First Aid and Fire Safety Certification from accredited providers

ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems (optional but beneficial)

• Strong awareness of local health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to identify hazards and assess associated risks.
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Confident and flexible in applying procedures, with the ability to adapt to frequent changes.
• Prior experience in safety roles within creative environments, event production, or construction is preferred.
