Engineer ‐ Product Development

Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate the design steps by adhering to the accepted process and providing necessary information and guidance.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to prepare the time and action plan based on the received comments and proceed it according to given plan.
- Provide relevant information related to the designing of the final output to the marketing department to calculate the final price of the product.
- Discuss and clear the comments with customer, grade, develop and submit size sets for the development of molds.
- If pilot is to be executed, develop product technical specification packages to communicate requirements for printing, taking responsibility for all aspects of technical pre-production work relating printing.
- Explain and submit required information to tech pack team to prepare BOM, in order to commence the production process.
- Conduct Integration, TLT and mini bulk according to the timeline and validate product by conducting required testing.
- Discuss and provide solutions to the issues at the pilot appraisal meetings and submit the signed off plastic shots, pads and cross sections to the quality department.
- Instruct the PDC operators with the details to conduct day today molding trials.
- Ensure that required raw materials are in housed at the right time in right quantities in right quality in order to ensure timely sampling and development timelines are met.
- Provide the required training for team members to give the required knowledge and skills to perform their duties successfully.
- Plan the required capacity based on the demand for the entire order in order to achieve timeline.
- Analyse the feasibility of new raw materials for new concepts and follow the procedure to finalize it.
- Take necessary actions for technical issues at the development stage and surface the issue.
- Assist and guide engineers to remove unwanted products once complete the required process.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal in English.
- Good interpersonal skills.
