Manager Data Migration

Responsible for managing and driving the Data Migration activities under the Core Banking Transformation Program. This will include data mapping, data migration strategy development and data cleansing activities

Work with all key stakeholders during the entire implementation to ensure that the data is ready for go-live, migrated within the cutover window, and validated within the target application

Formulation and development of data strategy document in coordination with all key stakeholders

Identify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirements

Take ownership of design and development of strategy development of all data extract, transform and load activities

Working with the project team to ensure that all ongoing data transformation, de-duplication, extraction, and load functions once ready for production deployment are documented 

Work with data owners to verify and obtain approval that any transformed data retains its quality/accuracy

Ensure that any key fields and social care/business rules relied upon as part of any ongoing ETL or de-duplication are conveyed clearly to the project team/stakeholders

Execute data migration cycles as per schedule 

Coordinate and resolve ETL exceptions, as required

Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities

Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality, and business sign-off details

Coordinate with PMO and Governance for managing assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan

Provie weekly status updates against all defined activities and escalate issues in a timely manner for early resolution

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or related discipline

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience of working in a large sized bank, with an experience on data migration, mapping and extraction, logic building, strategy planning and building 
• Ability to engage clearly with representatives to explain data migration concepts
