PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Plan and optimize the inventory level and coordinate merchandise plan by markets, direct the implementation of plans, monitor stock level and sales performance, in line with the agreed target and KPI’s. Ultimately to meet or exceed sales opportunities (targets) and manage stock risk (markdown and terminal stock) that will deliver the net margin budget.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop sales plans by markets, to facilitate the execution of store sales and stock strategies and to deal with any issues as and when they arise.
  • Work closely with the Merchandise Planning, Buying and Regional Merchants to identify any stock issues at store level suggesting and take corrective actions to drive sales.
  • Work with the Allocation team to guarantee that the correct products are available in the correct locations within the correct time based both on historical sales data and current trend.
  • Monitor performance and stock levels daily/weekly, review actual versus planned stock levels and take any action needed to ensure the correct alignment with the plans
  • Mid-Season Sale: preparation of list by country/dept., update calendar and follow up weekly performance, sharing with the countries.
  • Play an active role in the Markdown optimization process by contributing to the creation of the markdown lists by country, making sure for each style/colour that the proposal of the system is right.
  • Daily review of end of season sales performances and introduction of possible additional actions in case of negative performances to improve the country performances.
  • Fostering a transparent and collaborative environment with all Department and countries involved, where specific KPIs are shared, aligns interests and goals, facilitating more effective decision-making.
  • Cascade the store budget by product line according to the Merchandise Plans and past years stores performancesEvaluating local promotion requests and taking all necessary measures to ensure correct alignment with plans.
  • Supervise the aged stock performances by country and take any action needed to ensure the correct alignment with the plans.
  • New Opening: Partner with Business Analysts and Allocation Team by ensuring that opening packages and clusters are in line with the store profile, lay-out and expected performance.
  • LNS activities: collect country feedback and calendar to plan and follow up this activity with all the stakeholders.
  • Meetings with the country teams: trade analysis by country (sales, stock, performances, WOS) and any business need may arise.
  • Take a proactive role on any improvements or enhancements to the Team systems / processes at any level.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3/4 years in multi-site retail business, possibly in the fashion retail sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Economics or related field is preferred
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken) is essential
  • Fast learner, analytical mind-set, adapt to changes and work under pressure
  • Excellent execution, high respect of deadlines and strong organizational skills, good level of proactivity and effective problem solver
  • Team player, ability to work independently and customer oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office, in particular Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Demonstrated fluency in reporting tools including the ability to successfully mine data, create ad hoc reporting and analyse to drive key business decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor message to all levels in the business, including delivering clear and concise presentations
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, utilize resources effectively and drive for results in a fast paced, growth environment
  • Established ability to build and maintain effective working relationships to drive collaboration, teamwork and business results.
