Description
We are looking for a professional hotel Front Desk Agent to oversee all receptionist and secretarial duties at our main entrance desk. The Front Desk Agent will perform a range of duties including answering phone calls, managing the switchboard, and assisting guests with their reservations.
The successful candidate will be presentable and friendly and have outstanding people skills. S/he should be great at multitasking and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Greet guests and provide them with superb customer service.
- Check guests into their rooms and out of their rooms.
- Collect and verify guest payments.
- Assign rooms to guests and inform them of property amenities.
- Ensure the front desk is neat, presentable, and equipped with all the necessary supplies.
- Answer all guest questions and incoming calls.
- Redirect phone calls to the appropriate department and capture and deliver messages.
- Accept all letters and packages and distribute them to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain hotel records and files.
- Monitor, organize and forward emails.
Requirements
- High school diploma or relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Ability to stand for long hours.
- Technologically savvy.
- Good understanding of office administration and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.
