Description
MAINTENANCE
As a Maintenance helper your role is to ensure excellent maintenance of the buildings, infrastructure and the overall appearance of our properties. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel’s interior and exterior. This includes conducting routine maintenance of our entire facility.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests needs.
- Power washing public areas and hallways of hotel property.
- Maintaining of outdoor pool furniture
- Check all departure rooms to ensure all standards are met.
- Check for new maintenance requests and update remarks once the task is completed.
- Painting and maintaining public areas and rooms.
- Maintaining of plants on premises to include: Watering, trimming, cleaning of planters.
- Ability to work and assist Room attendants when necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.
- Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
- Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
- Perform maintenance activities and work orders in the guest room in a timely and effective manner.
- Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas in a timely and effective manner
- Trouble-shoot IT related issues and Program TV's.
- Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- To clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.
- To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
PREREQUISITES:
To be able to work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized. Ability to multitask in a busy environment and adheres to hotel the Standard Operating Procedures.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a good understanding of maintenance in a hotel environment.
