仕事内容

• 背景リードの指揮のもと、レベルデザインチームと、アートリーダー、他の部門のリーダーと緊密な連携をとり、優れた背景を完成させる
• ３D背景モデルのクオリティと技術の向上を常に心がけ、担当箇所を的確に完成させる
• スタイライズされたマテリアルの作成
• モデリング、ライティング、レベルアートなど背景関連に関するあらゆる業務
• 背景リードと協力し、クオリティ向上のため、アート的・技術的な改善策を提案する
• 中堅・若手メンバーを指導し、手本を提供する

You will join our team to build a unique stylized world.

The ideal candidate for this position has a deep understanding of immersive worldbuilding, with a passion to create emotionally evocative play experiences. We are looking for a passionate environment artist who loves to create unknown worlds and possesses the artistry to create stunning environment art.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Level Design team, Art leads, and other Leads under the direction of the Environment Lead to complete excellent environments
• Improve the quality and technique of environment models, and complete the assigned parts in a precise manner
• Creation of stylized materials
• Perform all environment-related operations such as modeling, lighting, level art etc.
• Work with the Environment Lead to suggest artistic and technical solutions to achieve quality improvements
• Mentor mid-career and junior staff and provide best practices

Requirements

• 現世代の背景制作パイプラインを熟知していること
• 背景制作をする上でどのポイントに力を注げば効果的かを理解している
• 没入感を高める背景制作に対するパッションとスキル
• 背景チーム全員のスキルアップ、意識向上へのフィードバック
• コンセプトを理解・解釈する能力
• 高度な建築モデリング技術とテクスチャ作成技術
• 効果的に時間を管理し、プロジェクトに必要なスケジュールとスコーピングでアートリードを支援する能力
• シームレスなゲームパフォーマンスを確保するため、最適化する深い知識と技術的な制約の十分な理解
• 背景アーティストアートとしてAAAゲーム、映画、または短編映画をリリースした経験
• 英語または日本語の優れたコミュニケーション力

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist

• Extensive knowledge of current generation environment production pipelines
• Strong understanding of where to focus your efforts to be effective
• Passion and skills in creating immersive and resonant environments
• Strong conceptual and concept interpretation skills
• Advanced architectural modeling and texture creation techniques
• Portfolio demonstrating a variety of techniques and visually appealing art assets
• A strong proactive and collaborative personality, eager to contribute unique ideas to the project
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• English speaking and writing skills (Japanese is a plus)
• Ability to manage time effectively and assist Art leads with scheduling and scoping project needs
• Deep knowledge of optimization and a great understanding of technical limitations to ensure seamless game performance
• Shipped a AAA game, film, or a short film as an environment artist
