What to Expect

• Work-Based Training: Learn on-site at MEG Derby, a leading manufacturer in the drinks industry.
• Academic Study: 4 weeks per month deliver by Burton and South Derbyshire College at at Toyota’s training academy
• Technical Expertise: Gain insight from Toyota’s world-renowned approach to quality and continuous improvement.
• Qualifications: Work toward a Level 3 Engineering Technician (Mechatronics Maintenance Technician) Apprenticeship Standard.
• Mentorship & Support: Learn from experienced professionals in a real-world environment with ongoing coaching and development.

What You’ll Learn

• Installation, testing and maintenance of complex automated systems
• Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment
• Robotics and industrial automation
• Safety systems, lean manufacturing techniques and quality assurance
• Engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation

What We’re Looking For

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and 2 other subjects – Grade 4/C or above
• A genuine interest in engineering, automation, and problem-solving
• A hands-on, can-do attitude with a desire to learn
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
