Senior Calypso Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Calypso Developer with strong hands-on experience in designing, customizing, and integrating Calypso-based solutions for the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Calypso back-office modules, Calypso V16 or later, and a strong Java/Oracle/Unix technical background. The role involves close collaboration with functional analysts and remote teams, focusing on delivering scalable, high-performance trading solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop solutions within the Calypso platform tailored to client requirements
Customize workflows, messaging frameworks, and report generation within Calypso
Integrate Calypso with internal and external systems and services
Conduct performance testing, analyze results, and resolve system bottlenecks
Participate in DevOps and CI/CD activities to ensure continuous improvement
Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
Coach junior developers and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience with Calypso, preferably versions 16 and up
Strong understanding of Calypso back-office modules including messaging, transfer generation, and customization
Hands-on experience with Java, Oracle, and Unix
Familiarity with CATT tools is an advantage
Experience managing or working with distributed remote teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Capital markets certifications or relevant industry qualifications
Experience in Agile environments and DevOps practices
