They play a pivotal role in establishing and refining processes that support efficient, secure, and reliable software development, following the 7-Stages Development Process. By closely collaborating with Product and Program Management, they articulate the "What" and "Why" to their teams, creating a clear and purpose-driven plan for development efforts.
Maintaining smooth, consistent development processes is a key responsibility, with a focus on timely delivery, quality, and performance. They are proactive in addressing poor performance, ensuring the well-being of both the individual and the team. Recruitment, onboarding, and continuous upskilling of team members are integral to their role, as is building a resilient and adaptable team.
Building strong stakeholder relationships across IFS, including with support teams, is vital to this role. They aim to minimize R&D effort spent on support by delivering well-documented, high-quality software and addressing escalations efficiently.
