PROJECT MANAGER - On Site at Albuquerque, NM
MUST BE US Citizen With Active DoE Q Clearance
Overview:
EDC Consulting is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead a critical software development initiative supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
This onsite role in Albuquerque, NM, offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic IT solutions for national security missions.
Position Summary:
- The Project Manager (PM) will serve as the primary point of contact, coordinating all project activities with DOE/NNSA stakeholders and government representatives.
- The PM is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and oversight of all contract requirements, from planning and execution to reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- This role requires leadership in managing cross-functional teams and ensuring adherence to DOE/NNSA policies, security standards, and compliance protocols.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight of all project activities, ensuring alignment with DOE mission objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, schedules, and deliverables to meet contract requirements.
- Serve as the single point-of-contact for executive sponsors, the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Integrated Project Team (IPT), NA-IM operations, cybersecurity teams, and DOE IT Services.
- Deliver sprint reviews, demonstrations, presentations, and status reports to the COR within one business day after each sprint, highlighting accomplishments and progress.
- Prepare and submit summary reports and ad-hoc updates upon COR request.
- Ensure software development activities meet DOE IT programs, compliance, and information security standards.
- Foster an agile, collaborative environment that supports innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related IT discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in information systems and technology management.
- Demonstrated expertise with DOE IT programs, policies, and federal compliance requirements.
- Experience in leading large-scale, mission-critical software projects within government or national security environments.
- Outstanding communication skills to effectively update stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
- Proven ability to manage high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and cultivate strong customer relationships.
- Must Be Available to work On-Site at Albuquerque, NM, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- U.S. citizenship and an active DOE Q Clearance are mandatory.
