Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst will work within our Accounting Department and will be responsible for preparing financial reports for Malin leadership.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic planning and forecasting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis
- Calculate and process monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions in accordance with compensation plans.
- Maintain and update commission systems and databases.
- Analyze commission data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Respond to inquiries from sales staff regarding commission calculations and payments.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock accuracy.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and propose corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Analyze billing data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with contracts and policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to resolve billing issues.
- Maintain and update billing systems and customer records.
- Generate reports on billing activity, trends, and performance metrics.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years in relevant finance or accounting work.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience in an analysis role.
- Hybrid position. Must be able to work from the office several days a week.
- Experience in Logistics industry or a closely related field is a plus.
