Hardware Supervisor

Gardenland Co-op is hiring a full-time Hardware Supervisor at the St. Joseph Hardware location.  

Location:         St. Joseph, MB (10 minutes from Altona, MB)

Status:             Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts:              8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

                        Some Saturday shifts may be required on occasion.

What you’ll do:

You are responsible for delivering exceptional levels of customer service by providing friendly, courteous and knowledgeable hardware product knowledge and engagement with the customers, cash handling and processing transactions.  

In addition, you will maintain store operations by ordering and stocking merchandise, setting up displays, receiving and unloading supplier deliveries, and organizing the warehouse effectively. Administrative duties are required for the position which includes entering data into spreadsheets and running reports. There are many other miscellaneous duties that are part of this role which include pumping gas, assembling hydraulic hoses, cutting grass and snow removal.

• Can stand for extended periods of time

• Can lift up to 50 lbs, with repetitive lifting of 5-35 lbs 

• Have good numeracy skills (cash handling and reporting). 

• Have strong interpersonal skills and possess a friendly disposition

• Have strong communication skills.

• Ability to speak French is an asset.
