The Opportunity:
We are currently looking to recruit a deputy facility manager to support all operational activities and service provision at the preclinical PET facility in Edinburgh. This role will work in close proximity to the head of the facility, Prof Tavares, in order to operationalise and implement service delivery at the facility. Day-to-day facility operations will be overseen by this post, as deputised by Prof Tavares. This is a full-time (35 hours per week), fully on-campus and open-ended position. The post holder is expected to provide expert contribution and guidance to all preclinical PET facility users. They are expected to contribute to the success of the University preclinical PET research strategic goals by managing all technical activities for preclinical radionuclide imaging programmes at the facility. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, organised and resourceful researcher eager to develop a career as core facility imaging scientist with management responsibilities.

- Capable of consistently delivering research at a core facility environment with focus on facility users’ outstanding satisfaction.
- Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking under pressure.
- Significant amount of agency while successfully operationalising and reporting on progress of deputised tasks by line manager.
