About the Role:

The SAP Business Development Associate is responsible for driving new business opportunities and generating leads for SAP solutions. This role will focus on identifying and qualifying potential customers, nurturing relationships, and introducing SAP products and services that can address client needs. As a key member of the sales team, the BDR will work closely with account executives, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects for SAP solutions. There will also be a sales quota with incentive assigned to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify, research, and prospect new business opportunities within defined markets to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads for SAP solutions.
  • Outbound Sales Activities: Conduct cold calls, email outreach, and social media engagement to engage with potential clients and promote SAP products and services.
  • Client Qualification: Qualify prospects based on budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT) criteria to ensure alignment with SAP offerings.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a solid understanding of SAP's solutions and how they can be applied to solve client challenges. Stay updated on SAP's latest features, products, and industry trends.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts, creating opportunities for further sales engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives, Sales Managers, and Marketing teams to align on strategies, share market intelligence, and ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team by providing detailed lead information, helping in the preparation of sales presentations, and supporting in closing the deals.
  • Reporting & CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity in the CRM system, track progress, and report on KPIs (e.g., lead generation, conversion rates, meetings set).
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, identify competitors, and spot new sales opportunities in the SAP ecosystem.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in the software or technology industry.
    • Experience with SAP solutions or enterprise software is a plus but not required.
    • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and prospecting tools.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives and business stakeholders.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding lead generation targets.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
