We are looking for Graduate Economics Analysts with a background in Econometrics or Statistics to be based in one of our ten European offices to support the projects and business development initiatives of the wider Oxera as a part of our Analytics and Data Science team.
Our Analytics and Data Science team specialises in the application of cutting-edge quantitative methods in Econometrics, Statistics, and Data Science. We leverage advanced methods to extract, transform, load and analyse data, delivering valuable insights to our clients through high-quality outcomes and impactful narratives. We are an international team, and work across several geographies—wherever data-driven insights and innovative analytical approaches are needed
Your Role in the Analytics and Data Science Team:
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, clients, and academics to resolve complex issues together by using causal inference methods on unique and complex datasets.
- Build and validate datasets, apply causal inference or other statistical techniques, test economic hypotheses and communicate your work through clear and impactful visuals
- Contribute to writing reports, presentations, and articles to communicate research insights effectively both to technical and non-technical audiences
We’re looking for candidates with:
- an excellent academic record, who are studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Economics or Finance (preferred).
- A solid background in microeconomics is also preferential;
- excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
- knowledge of programming languages such as Stata and/or R;
- excellent spoken and written English. Fluency in a second European language is preferred.
